It’s Crazy, I Know.

Posted in Uncategorized on January 5, 2011 by nikkorpon

I’ll be reading at a bunch of places over the next two months, if any of you lovely people would care to join.

Saturday 29 January. 6pm
Second Last Rites
Old Parish House
4711 Knox Road
College Park, MD 20740

First, at the inaugural Second Last Rites series in College Park. Joe Smith of Manual Publishing was one of the early readers at our Baltimore Last Rites series, and had so much fun he wants to bring the noise to DC. I’ll be joining my usual cohorts, Pat King and Goodloe Byron.

Sunday 30 January. 7pm
Last Sunday, Last Rites
Baltimore Hostel
17 W Mulberry Street
Baltimore MD 21201

Next, I’ll be continuing the mini-Maryland tour at the Baltimore Last Rites. I know A. Jarrell Hayes will be reading too but Pat usually keeps secrets about the rest. Regardless, it’ll be fun because it’s always fun.

Thursday 3 February. 7pm
An AWP off-site event.

The Velvet Lounge
915 U Street
Washington DC

What happens when you bring together seven amazing authors (and me,) then mix in some happy hour specials after a full day of AWP panels? Words get naked, that’s what. In no particular order, we’ve got Caleb Ross, Brandon Tietz, Richard Thomas, Joe McGinnis, Jesus Angel Garcia, Michael Sonbert, Jillian Weise and myself. Like I said: Awesome.

Saturday 19 February. 5pm
The 5ive:ten Readings
Minas Gallery
815 W. 36th Street
Hampden. Baltimore MD

Wrapping up, Michael Kimball and Jen Michalski were kind enough to let me read at their series. They have one of the most consistent, and consistently awesome, lineups of any series I’ve seen, and I’m really flattered to be able to read there. I feel like I’m joining a club or something. Anyway, I’ll be joining Jessica Anya Blau, Tara Laskowski and Jackie Wang.

So, there. I think that wraps it up. Come out. Buy some books from people. Drink some beers. Have a good time.
